Co-lecturing

As part of the innovations of Arizona State University's partnership with Mapua University, Business and Health Sciences students from Mapua University together with Malayan Colleges Laguna and Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao participated in an 11-week co-lectured discussions on Communications in Business and the Profession course conducted by Dr. Susana Valenzuela of Arizona State University. 246 students are enrolled in the course, held twice a week via Zoom.

Co-lecturing refers to the practice of two or more professors or instructors jointly teaching a course or lecture. This can be done in a variety of formats, such as both instructors presenting material in front of the class together, taking turns leading discussions or activities, or dividing the material among themselves and each teaching their own section.

There are several benefits to co-lecturing, including the ability to share the workload and responsibilities of teaching, the opportunity for instructors to learn from one another and collaborate on teaching strategies, and the potential for a more diverse and dynamic learning experience for students. Co-lecturing can also be a valuable opportunity for professional development and career advancement for the instructors involved.
