The graduates have the ability to:

  • Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice. (PQF level 6 descriptor)

  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both English and Filipino.

  • Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. (PQF level 6 descriptor).

  • Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.

  • Preserve and promote "Filipino historical and cultural heritage". (based on RA 7722).

Specific to BS Financial Technology
A graduate of a BS Financial Technology should be able to:

  • Apply knowledge, principles, and skills to develop, adopt, and use financial technology strategies to achieve business goals.

  • Resolve business issues and problems, with a global and strategic perspective using their knowledge and technical proficiency in the areas of economics, marketing, law, accounting, investments, finance, and technology.

  • Conduct financial technology research through independent studies of relevant literature and appropriate use of financial technology theory and methodologies.

  • Employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, generating reports, and making decisions.

  • Select the proper decision-making tools to critically, analytically, and creatively solve problems and drive results.

  • Express oneself clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in oral and written forms.

  • Apply information and communication technology (ICT) skills as required by the business environment.

  • Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility.

  • Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in different scenarios in the practice of the financial technology profession.

​Program Description

BS Financial Technology program prepares the students to pursue competitive professional careers through application of new technological advancements in the design and delivery of financial services. The program covers diverse topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, financial modeling, data mining, data analytics, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, and new innovations in the financial sector.

Program Educational Objectives

Within five years after graduation, graduates of Financial Technology should have:

  • Actively engaged in finance services sector as financial technology professional.

  • Demonstrated professional success via promotions and/or positions of increasing responsibility in a business organization as a financial technology professional.

  • Demonstrated life-long learning via progress toward completion of an advanced degree, professional development/continuing education courses or industry-based training courses.

  • Uphold professional ethical standards required in the financial technology profession.

  • Exhibited and implemented actions toward the improvement of financial technology practice or related fields
